This is a Welded-in Seat, Removed from a Gimpel Trip Throttle Valve. Major Cracking was identified during inspection, The Seat was Removed from The Valve Body, and Completely Re-Stellited (Stellite #6). This was for a 5 day Emergency Project.

This is the Disc Belonging to the same Gimpel Trip Throttle Valve (photo above). As with the welded-in Seat, The Disc was also Completely Cracked within the HF#6 Area. As with The Seat, The Disc too was Completely Re-Stellited (Stellite #6). Both were Prep-Machined (old Stellite completely Removed), Re-Stellited, Re-Machined, Ground and Lapped. CCI Bypass Valve Plug upon inspection was discovered to have Extensive Cracking and Delamination in the Valve Seat and Guide Areas. Plug was Re-Stellited (Stellite #6).

CCI Valve Trim Completely Rehabilitated, and no longer "beyond repair", nor was it thrown away. This Rehab Resulted in Saving the Plant around 40% of the Replacement Cost, was done in about 2 weeks, ultimately saving the Valve Trim from the Trash Bin.
